Community Participation

At UMA Support & Care, we believe inclusion starts with opportunity.
We help participants connect with their communities through activities that spark joy, build confidence, and create meaningful social connections.
Our support is flexible, respectful of culture and identity, and tailored to the participant’s comfort level and interests.
We assist participants to:
-
Attend group activities, community events, or local meet-ups
-
Join classes, workshops, or local gyms
-
Explore cultural festivals, faith-based gatherings, or spiritual activities
-
Build independence in using public transport
-
Develop confidence in navigating shops, libraries, or social spaces
-
Participate in volunteer roles or interest-based clubs
-
Engage in 1:1 or small-group community-based programs

Whether you're stepping out for the first time or reconnecting after a break, our support workers walk alongside you — building confidence, breaking isolation, and celebrating progress at your pace.
Let’s turn connection into confidence — one outing at a time.
